Meet Dan Mandich, Spirit’s new Chief Operation Officer

As part of our company’s pivot toward becoming Australia’s leading provider of modern and secure digital workplaces, former Managed Services General Manager, Dan Mandich is announced as the company’s new Chief Operating Officer (COO).

An accomplished, successful leader with a comprehensive understanding of strategy, leadership, operations, organisational change, sales, and customer relations, Dan brings a wealth of hands-on experience to this key position.

“I’m excited to fill my new role and would like to thank Spirit for the opportunity to lead an amazing and dedicated team. It truly is a privilege.

The pandemic was a wake-up call to many businesses and exposed a widening gap between employer and employee expectations. Hybrid working arrangements, when correctly implemented using the right technology tools, empower staff to exercise previously denied freedoms and opportunities. They sharpen focus on the work/life balance equation and can deliver enormous advantages.”

As a champion of flexible and secure hybrid work arrangements, Dan was considered a natural internal COO candidate. He replaces Mark Dioguardi, who will transition to a new Spirit role as Chief Technology & Information Officer – with a focus on technology, platforms and transformation.

Dan joined Spirit in August 2020, having previously run Altitude IT as Managing Director (an early Spirit acquisition) for over four years. The next stage of his career will call on his broad tech experience as Spirit completes its transformation from a traditional telco to a provider of full business technology solutions.

“We now continue our journey to be the best we can be, to innovate, to share our passions and learn something new every day. Stay authentic and true to yourself, and most of all – be bold!”

The promotion is welcomed by the entire Spirit team and endorsed by the board.
